The History Museum and Art Gallery are open during regular business hours.
Edwin Smith Museum
This historical collection of artifacts, including a recreation of a colonial kitchen, is open most Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Because the Edwin Smith is open by volunteer hours only, we recommend calling the Reference Desk at (413) 568-7833 x104 to plan your visit.

Directions
The Westfield Athenaeum faces east on 6 Elm Street in downtown Westfield, MA.
FROM THE SPRINGFIELD AREA: follow Route 20 West into the center of Westfield. The Athenaeum is located half way around the Green on the corner of Elm and Court Streets. (Approximately 10 miles from Springfield.)
FROM NORTHAMPTON: Take Route 10 from Northampton into the center of Westfield. The Athenaeum will be on the right, across from the Green on the corner of Elm and Court Streets.
FROM THE MASS PIKE: Take Exit 41; at the end of the ramp turn right onto Route 10 and follow it into the center of town. The Athenaeum will be on the right, across from the Green on the corner of Elm and Court Streets.
FROM ROUTE I-91 SOUTH: Take the West Springfield Exit 11 and follow signs to the MA Pike. (See above for additional information.)
Parking
- Two lots are available at the rear of the building, with the entrance drive facing south on Court Street.

- Handicap parking spaces located at the rear of the building
