Westfield Athenaeum Library

Books for the Homebound

If you are unable to visit the library, we have a special service developed especially for you or your homebound relative. We will help you take advantage of all our resources by delivering library material right to your door.

Joyce Peregrin, our Circulation & Outreach Services Coordinator, will bring the library to you, at your convenience. It's simple! To register for this free service, simply call 568-7833, extension 108.

We look forward to helping you enjoy all that our library shelves have to offer from the comfort of your home.

Eligibility

To take advantage of our free homebound service, you must be a Westfield resident who is temporarily or permanently confined to your home because of illness, disability or advanced age.

How to use the service

Once you call the library to register for the service, we will arrange an initial visit to explain the service, set up a schedule, find out what subjects interest you and what format is best suited to your needs (books, audio or videotapes, large print books, etc.). If you don't have a library card, we'll get one for you.
