Early Childhood Curriculum Kits
The Westfield Athenaeum Boys and Girls Library offers curriculum kits for educators and parents of children ages 3-5. Kits include books, movies, puzzles, puppets, music and special games and activities based on various themes. Funding for the kits comes from the Westfield Community Partnership. For a complete list of themes and more information, contact the library.

Tours and Instructional Sessions
The Boys and Girls Library staff welcomes any group to come to the library for a tour or instructional session. A library visit is tailored to the individual needs of the group. It can include a walk-around the building, a storytime, or an instructional session where the group learns how to utilize the library’s materials and services. We also welcome groups who might be working on specific projects and would like to use our materials and the assistance of our staff.

Classroom/Library Visits
The Boys and Girls Library welcomes the opportunity to visit classrooms and school libraries to share information about the library, to read stories and to conduct booktalks. A classroom/library visit is tailored to the individual needs of the group.

Ellison die-cut machine
Our Ellison die-cut machine is available for public use during our normal business hours. It is available on a first come, first served basis and those wishing to use the machine must bring their own paper and office supplies such as scissors and tape. If library staff members are conducting a program, the machine will be unavailable at that time, as it is located in our Activity Room. Please call ahead to inquire about our program schedule.

Homework Assignments
We like to help you help your students. When you have upcoming assignments and research projects for your students contact the Boys and Girls Library and let us know!
