Westfield Athenaeum Boys and Girls Library 2009 Summer Reading Club
STARSHIP ADVENTURE AT YOUR LIBRARY
~June 22 through August 7~
Sign-ups begin Monday, June 22rd for:
Summer Reading Club- children ages 3 through those entering grade 5. Keep track of the reading you do on your own Summer Reading Log!
- Color in the days that you read or are read to for at least 15 minutes. For each day you have colored in, you will earn one raffle ticket. Raffle tickets may be put towards weekly and/or Grand Prize drawings.
- After seven days of reading colored in, you will be able to choose a prize from the Treasure Chest. (The days do not have to be in a row.)
- After 21 days of reading colored in, you will receive a special certificate (telling you how wonderful you are) and you will be able to choose a prize from the Treasure Chest. (The days do not have to be in a row.)
- For each visit you make to the library, you will be able to put a dot sticker on the summer reading club poster.
OTHER WAYS TO EARN RAFFLE TICKETS:
- Earn one raffle ticket when you check-out a book using your library card.
- Earn one raffle ticket when you complete a special activity on the Summer Activity Calendar. (This calendar is in your packet of information that you recieve when you sign up).
- Earn one raffle ticket when you find the guitar and /or the drum that are hiding in the library. (Maximum of 2 raffle tickets per day.)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- If you lose your reading log, you must start over. The library does not keep a record of the reading you have done.
- Raffle prize drawings are held on Fridays at 2 p.m., and you do not have to be present to win.
