The Mission of the Westfield Athenaeum Archives is to collect, arrange, preserve, maintain and make broadly available materials of historical value pertaining to Westfield, Massachusetts. Through the years, the Westfield Athenaeum Archives has accumulated over 500 linear feet of maps, drawings, papers, manuscripts, stereoscopes, Mayoral papers, diaries, business ledgers and emphera which give insight into life in Westfield. They are housed in a climate-controlled room to ensure their longevity and saftey.

Online finding aids (see index below) show more details of our collections and EDWIN ONLINE provides access to over 3,000 images of Colonial Westfield. Westfield Athenaeum Archives Fees
For all phone and mail research questions in the Westfield Athenaeum Archives, the patron will be charged $20 per hour for any research taking longer than thirty minutes. Copies will be billed at $.25 each.

For Genealogy ONLY, all questions by phone or mail are asked to remit a $5.00 donation.
There is no charge for on-site research assistance. Copies made by the patrons cost $.20 - .50 depending on preference of black & white or color. Copies made of Archives material by the librarian cost $.25- .50 each.
