Lecture Series
Feb.24 at 7:00 pm
On February 24 at 7:00 p.m., former TV broadcast journalist Durham Caldwell, of Springfield, will be coming to talk about his recent book, Tumultuous Affairs: Uncertain Politics and Unlikely Romance During a Turbulent Time, 1964 – 1975.
Caldwell covered Massachusetts politics and politicians for more than half a century. His fictionalized characters were drawn from his real-life experiences during the turbulent 60s and 70s, including friction between local police and the black community, civil rights vigils, and segregation in inner-city schools, all set against the backdrop of the Watergate scandal and the protests over the Vietnam War.
More information about Caldwell’s book is available at http://tumultuousaffairs.home.att.net.
A book signing will follow the talk
